Such a prescient, beautiful sentiment.

Divorce Bill

Divorce Always Ends With An Unedifying Squabble Over Dosh.

"Our little Junker" fits into these lyrics nicely. Merkel the mistress responsible for the whole divorce per se! Now after decades of an unhappy "marriage", as ever, one partner lets some things slide, other than expensive pardons for favoured mistresses, then whinges when a spouse gives up!

All this talk of alimony is utter rubbish. After the divorce is finalised assets are then set against any perceived liabilities and often left for an independent arbiter to determine. How such an arbiter might be found is anyone's guess. However it is even possible they may not be necessary if the "marriage" is found to have been null and void where divorce was never part of any pre-nup!

Still, since it is likely the shock of divorce will fall harder on the loss of income to the "guilty" party and their demands for total dominance over their erstwhile partner, a control rapidly turning into abuse of power, the division of assets may well favour any cash settlement.

One thing we can be certain of. This awful mistress holed up in Berlin will be savage in her lust for revenge on the wronged spouse for not toeing the line to keep her in the luxury she demands. One can only hope that the legions of lovers she entertains from across the globe will be her downfall as her old flames vent their anger and heartache at the once promised land of matrimonial bliss she once promised. Briefly.

Still, however hard this is to be, like any dreadful and abusive relationship, virtually any price is worth paying than a lifetime of ever more violent abuse and treachery, is it not?

  1. "Virtually any price is worth paying." Belay there O.R.,not any price surely, not by a long chalk. I'm wanting a complete clean break. No lingering fragment of eu nonsense to re-infect us when the furore has died down. No pandering to eu laws or courts and our borders controlled by us. As far as payment goes what you hint at is a quite an interesting idea, both sides make their case to an independent third party panel. Hmmm now who could be trusted ? I'd suggest a panel made up from America, Russia, and China, not that anything that fair would ever be considered.

  2. "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen pounds nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds nought and six, result misery."
Nineteen countries taking out more than they put in. Only nine countries paying in more than they take out. Of that nine we the UK have the greater in/out ratio, greater even than Germany. No flaming wonder they don't want us to leave. UK the stupid milch cow. We must be the laughing stock of the ruddy world.
