Such a prescient, beautiful sentiment.

Aren't We All?

Sick Of Being Unconvinced?

This trio of amateur warmongers gave us their unconvincing dodgy dossier claims, which duped many into believing exactly that which they hoped. Moscow are now expressing doubts on the Syrian "dossier", paraded by the US Deputy Security Chief  in a briefing this morning. Whatever the real facts might be we should remember that excellent saying "in war the first casualty is truth".

Furthermore I have blogged from day one that war is always full of motivations never openly admitted. That is  covetous ambition and greed for power and money are usually the reasons for the destruction of habitat, life and a degree of freedom and normality. The "War on terror" has been little more than a fig leaf to cover the desire to subjugate whole nations and control vast wealth for some by waging violent mayhem, wherever profit may ensue.

I really am nauseated by the propaganda, self righteous poppycock and drivel designed to convince that somehow hundreds of soldiers lives lost, thousands condemned to disability and broken limbs and the destruction of lands and lives is somehow for my benefit and security.

The overriding fact is that everything so badly done does little to demonstrate any leadership or statesmanlike quality in those pretending to greatness. Quite the opposite. The economic collapse of 2007, expected by many, other than those with power to prevent it. The vengeful, thoughtless attack on Iraq. The ridiculous failure to get in and out of Afghanistan in double quick time. All go to show how really unconvincing The West's partnerships for power are so atrocious and ghastly.

This Bilderberger influenced drive to a world Government is failing. The triumvirate of Politicians, bribed to rescue banks, using the siren voices and drug laundered stashes of gangsters, all has a price. Inevitably it is the poor of those Countries coveted for their minerals and oil who suffer most. Not that those of us more fortunate do not get to share in the punishment meted out.

In the West austerity reigns and dreams are shattered. The brainwashed majority are incapable of understanding their beggared celebrity culture is about to be subsumed by events in Syria and elsewhere. For the ill educated and historically blindfolded, Sodom and Gomorrah and hedonism appear as a festival of selfish, orgiastic, endless joy. That a couple of drink and drug fuelled holidays, in the latest fashionable resort, are all that their lives need to be about is almost funny.

What is not so hilarious is the eventual cost to those of us who believe in better. We have to watch as the decline gathers pace and the water laps around our feet, as our hard work, savings and pensions are drained away. Sure those who couldn't care less will find out, eventually, where their stupidity is taking them. Unfortunately so many, across the planet, are sacrificed wantonly. A sad fact of modern life. A fact which is convincing in its glaring exposure of how badly wrong we have got it, these last 20 years or so.

  1. By Christ OR you've condensed much of the shite of the last 2 decades into one smouldering cynical bloody truthful piece.

    Well said.

    Meself i think its all over bar the shouting for what remains of our once fine country.

    I feel the everlasting wrath of the fallen good men and true who lie in graves marked and unmarked all over this sodomised world, cut down in their prime defending the right to freedom of this land.

    Hard won freedoms and bounty spoiled given away and sold to other bastards by the traitorous swine who were charged with leading this country in the last 40 years.

    Each of those fallen were worth legion of the swine who sent them.

    The electorate as always are the ones truly to blame poor bloody show that they are, half pissed or drugged watching utter shite on the propaganda machine in the corner, believing the cock and bull pish that the one party that is the liblabcon spouted, actually trusting the fucking state broadcaster i ask you.
    Carefully working out on the BBC site which of the three heads of the bloody parasite party will bung them the most for their cheap bloody vote, buyable just like the arse holes they vote for.

    Sod me i don't drink but a bloody sane man could be forgiven for doing so.

    PS sorry for the profanities, sometimes its the only word that can deliver the utter disgust i feel at the scum who delivered us right into the toilet.

  2. What Judd said...

    But with the caveat that I consider myself a sane man and therefore drink copious amounts for the very reasons that Judd suggest persons like me should be forgiven.

    In the words of that great man G.K. Chesterton:

    The gallows in my garden, people say,
    Is new and neat and adequately tall;
    I tie the noose on in a knowing way
    As one that knots his necktie for a ball;
    But just as all the neighbours on the wall
    Are drawing a long breath to shout "Hurray!"
    The strangest whim has seized me... After all
    I think I will not hang myself to-day.

    To-morrow is the time I get my pay
    My uncle's sword is hanging in the hall
    I see a little cloud all pink and grey
    Perhaps the rector's mother will NOT call
    I fancy that I heard from Mr. Gall
    That mushrooms could be cooked another way
    I never read the works of Juvenal
    I think I will not hang myself to-day.

    The world will have another washing-day;
    The decadents decay; the pedants pall;
    And H.G. Wells has found that children play,
    And Bernard Shaw discovered that they squall;
    Rationalists are growing rational
    And through thick woods one finds a stream astray,
    So secret that the very sky seems small
    I think I will not hang myself to-day.

    Prince, I can hear the trumpet of Germinal,
    The tumbrils toiling up the terrible way;
    Even to-day your royal head may fall
    I think I will not hang myself to-day.

  3. Judd - very well said.
