Such a prescient, beautiful sentiment.

Secrets And Lies!

Why Not Tell The Truth?

August 2012 and so I thought I would publish an earlier post again whilst away working today. Funny how so little ever really changes.

As an add on to my weeks blogging relating to business interests funding The Taliban against our forces, I always came back to "follow the money". The biggest powerhouse in the world is that of The Rothschild dynasty. Some of my Internet research came upon the manner in which the Dynasty has funded both sides in virtually every conflict since the American Civil War. Furthermore they were behind the invention and trading of the famous Maxim machine gun. A weapon, in one form or another, responsible for many thousands of deaths in WW1. So my future posts on this theme will be under the Maxim Gun syndrome.

"The Vickers machine gun or Vickers gun is a name primarily used to refer to the Water cooling .303 British machine gun produced by Vickers Limited was an improved and redesigned Maxim, introduced into the British Army in 1912 and remaining in service until 1968."

"DWM manufactured Maschinengewehr 08, or MG08, was the German Army's standard machine gun in World War I and is an almost direct copy of Hiram Stevens Maxim's original 1884 Maxim Gun, a licenced version/clone of the Maxim machine gun."

Now, lying 75th in the top 100 American Defense suppliers to The Afghanistan expedition, is BAE Systems who so far have earnt USD193,344,603, (£128.896,40 approx). So what? Good for UK business and exports. The same reason why Phony Tony suppressed any Saudi slush fund deals being exposed. The end justifies the means.
The trouble is we now enter a murky world of underhand trading of arms, murder and intrigue. Inevitably Governments become part of this and the size of these deals suddenly become like huge banks. Too big to fail. It must then follow that a nation's wealth must become tied to arms manufacture on such a scale, that freedoms have to go, if they threaten this juggernaut.
I have no answers. I benefit in a SMALL way from this activity and business. What I loathe most is the manner in which Government Ministers like Jack Straw and the MPs, featured in my work of three weeks back, personally profit. Government has become a sales organisation first and a Government of propriety and honesty last. How many decisions are made in Corfu or in pseudo desert tents? Or at Albanian planning meetings for luxury resort developments?
Finally the big losers in all this horse trading and arms dealing subterfuge, is the Human race. These arms end up as the toys of repression by Dictators and sundry despots and mad men. They kill Sudanese, Angolans, Tamils and Tibetans, British and NATO troops. So it goes on. Whilst Governments remain complicit in Financiers' greed and hunger to rule the world, nothing will change, will it?

  1. Bloody hell, OR!

  2. They have given us an economy highly dependent on corrupt and secretive financing and a corrupt and secretive arms industry. We shall all finish up living in what amounts to a corrupt and secretive workhouse.

  3. "And they brought young children to Him, that He should touch them: and His disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God"
    (Mark 10:13-14).

  4. OR looking for your contact details, can't find them. Would you drop me a line at please.

  5. one more push boys5 September 2009 at 19:34

And sadly when the Tories take control nothing will change. Cameron is keen to stay on in Afghanistan and get the job done. One more push and a few more troops and we'll beat them. Like Vietnam.
At least the Tories are better at Arms dealing. Maggies Al Yamamah deal with Saudi was the best ever.

  6. Sadly, you're right OR. War is a very profitable industry.

  7. Watch this and do you have to wonder why the Americans are hated by Muslims.

    1. Sadly the ability to commit atrocities is in so many people, GS.
