The Myth Of Paying Giant Salaries?
"A management change, with both Chief Executive Tony Hayward's and Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg's jobs in jeopardy, could come when BP announces a capital raise, the paper said, citing an unnamed source close to the company.Without steps to steady the ship, BP could become a target of a takeover attempt from companies like ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, RDSa.L or PetroChina" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1291246/Swedish-BP-chairman-affair-married-mother-oil-spill-disaster.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
The BP oil disaster is a very large, mangled Ferrari! So many examples now exist, post the financial crash of our times, of greed, stupidity and arrogant disregard of the "little people". Time and time again we are told it is necessary to pay huge sums to get the right people in top jobs. OK, so if that's the case why did the crash happen and continue to linger? How come so many Council Chief Executives are piss poor? Bankers back at the trough? Bliar getting ever richer? Seems to me the problem is, once you have club membership, nothing can touch you from outside. One ticket to join is via political machinations. I guess the rest is as ever. "It's not what you know it's who you know"! Nice work if you an get it.
