Such a prescient, beautiful sentiment.

What Snotpicker Brown Can Learn From George!

No, Not That George But Even He Could Do Better.

"Prime Minister George Papandreou, backing up a new government plan presented Thursday to slash the country's budget deficit, said there is "no time to lose" when fixing the public finances. The pledge came as the government outlined the deficit-reduction goals for the next four years--the duration of the government's term--which include cutting the spending gap to 8.7% of GDP this year and 5.6% next year and below 3% by 2012."

Anyone still with a modicum of education in the wasteland that is Labours' shite educated UK would endorse these comments. However Party before Country is Labours' tried and tested raison d'etre. Never mind the debt, the pledges to waste more, spend more etcetera. Of course we have no idea what Jimmy and Mandy have up their smelly sleeves for further EU messing about, do we? Come on, somebody put these cheating and mendacious crowd on a gallows. DC seems incapable of matching the Country's mood. It is a mood every bit as ugly as this Government.

  1. So the Greeks get it and we don't?

  2. Anon, I despair sometimes of my paucity of comment. Thanks for passing by.

  3. Jean-Claude Trichet has had a hand in this OR. The EU is issuing veiled threats to Greece to get its house in order if it wants to stay in the EU/eurozone.
The people are unsettled though and there'll be more riots similar to 08/09.

I think, education aside and on the whole, people do 'get it'. Some might not want to believe it but that's a different matter. At least Cameron's speaking out and defining policy areas now that the GE looms.
