............AND UNEARTHS A COLOSSAL HYPOCRITE!
Welcome to the world of The Family Oppenheimer.
Let us, however have a little detour;
"Ruias-led Essar Group today said it has appointed Pradeep Mittal as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of its mining business, Essar Minerals (EML) plus...........
Five Indian metals and mining companies are in the race for acquiring mining rights for the largest iron ore deposit in war-torn Afghanistan. The government has shortlisted Vedanta group’s Sesa Goa, Essar Minerals, Ispat Industries, JSW Steel and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam for a bid for the 1.8 billion tonne Hajigak iron ore deposit."
Are you still with me? Our interested party for today in Afghanistan is
Stemcor has a presence in India through its subsidiary, Steel Corporation of Gujarat, and through a joint venture with Essar Steel and Hy-Grade Pellets. Now the name Mittall crops up and connected to Stemcor. Margaret Hodge is nee Oppenheimer and a major shareholder in the family firm of Stemcor. Their wealth is phenomenal. Such is life. Yet this woman lectures us all on Marxist ideology and sits as a Labour MP. Such arrogance and hypocrisy. As her business links with The Mittals to seek to "exploit" Afghan iron ore deposits can you not just see the expensive meetings, private jets and opulent hotels all utilised to do these deals? Whilst probably using a special unit to clear the way and move substantial monies to our insurgent pals. Oh, by the way..................four more dead soldiers retuning home today.
Thought for the day. I have only reached the letter "H" on the Parliamentary list. I am concentrating on Labour because they preside over this cess pit. So probably nothing will change with a Tory Government. However we can gather evidence now, to measure if things change or not, can't we? Instead of ranting let's have a foundation and names to target for our ire. After all, the expenses row jerked us out of apathy, why not more such similar revelations? Government should be totally at arms (pun intended) length and not use lofty aims and goals to bullshit us into paying for expensive diversionary wars, while Global Conglomerates carve up the spoils.
It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm that one soldier from 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment (Duke of Wellington's) and one soldier from 2nd Battalion The Rifles have been killed in Afghanistan. The soldiers died as a result of an explosion that happened whilst on a routine foot patrol, not connected to election security, near Sangin, northern Helmand province, on the morning of Thursday 20 August 2009
What the hell has the election to do with anything? Oh, right, that's OK then.
