Keep Them Scared.

The Politics Of Manipulation.

I was minded to think of how our broadcasters slip into the habit of following the lead and directions desired of Governments and those who would hold power. Not least the Sir Humphreys of our day. Albeit it might be more fitting to refer to the modern bureaucrats as the Count Sprouts of Brussels!

One subject caused me an ironic smile before the real horror of this constant barrage of piping us to madness clicked in. That subject is the weather. This particular Pied Piper tune is, in this modern age, heavily connected to the climate change or in reality the anthropogenic global warming scam. Here everything to do with the daily meteorological conditions is morphed into an auto suggestive hint of impending doom. Gloom that is all your and my fault for having been born!

The particular phrase which set me off was "After eighteen months of dry weather". Now forgive me but don't they mean "less than average rainfall"? Sure it has been so but not totally without rain. Indeed the heavy snows of 201-2011 will have soaked nicely into the water tables, with a slow thaw in March 2011. Just the conditions we are now told aren't happening because of the "drought"!

In actual factual considerations the deluge of the present will be seeping into the cracks and crevices of rocks, river beds and caves dramatically. Few potholers will be venturing underground right now as torrents run to their water table homes and the water shortage gets comfortably alleviated.

Well, not for the powers that be. More nonsense spouted that spring plants will soak up all this water immediately and evaporation rid us of any surpluses. Do they not listen to themselves? Or is broadcasting commentary today just negative scaremongering, as a default option?

Stop for a moment and think about it. It's a daily diet of dark foreboding. If Jeremy Hunt gets shafted for the metaphorical orifice he is the Government might fall and we might all suffer terrible consequences. Well since we are governed by The EU Commissioners what can be more terrible than that?

What is this future before us that requires this fear to be nurtured and encouraged? I suppose it's all about control. High spirited, happy creatures are harder to corral and control. I guess the PTB of this modern global New World Order see themselves as rodeo participants. Plenty of stick and cruel whipping minus any  carrot. The surplus of carrot deemed to have brought us to this bad place of debt and sawdust dry arena. Is this what is in store for future generations? Feels like it as the miserable but welcome rains continue to drown the drought soothsayers!! As Morecombe and Wise used to sing,

Speaking of MPs in trouble go easy on Hunt he might get depressed.....
I just saw this about Moran ex MP, what about the millions made depressed by her stinking rotten Liebour party.
If she wants to commit suicidal dont stop her remember she is still drawing a huge MPs pension.
Bet if she's let off she makes a full recovery.

She's become rapidly adept at swinging the lead, GS. Doesn't make her less of a grasping cow, though, does it?

I was getting the impression that I was the only one pondering the ludicrousness of those comments on TV...

Do you know, OR, I don't give a flying wotsit about what the idiots in HMG, the NWO, the Buggerbergers, the bureaucrats in the EU and all their hellish disciples are up to - that clip of Morecambe and Wise is great. I think I'll spend the weekend looking up old clips of Benny Hill, Les Dawson, Frankie Howard, Wilson, Keppel and Betty ... anything rather than read any more about those followers of Onan.

Thank you for that clip!

Anon, we are not alone, well yet.

Those old clips are joyous. They were times when Government got on with their job rather than endless PR shite.

Am I supposed to be worrying about The Drought this week at the expense of worrying about Global Warming/Salt/Tobacco/Conkers/Recession/Flu/Feral Youths/Paedophiles/Fracking/Huntgate or as well as?
