Cultural?

The 9/11 Mosque

I note today how the chatterati have decided to collectively refer to the proposed Mosque, near to the 9/11 site, as a "cultural centre". Will this mean displays of horrific brutality, misogynous sadism and the subjugation of  women so beloved of the Muslim, male dominated culture? Still, in many ways The West has its own forms of such dominance, mitigated by the Christian approach to life and humanity. At least they are mitigated.

The plans are for a mosque with attached 13-storey cultural centre so it's easier for sympathisers (aka dhimmis) to emphasise the cultural centre aspect - they're playing semantics. As you say, I wonder what sort of culture it will espouse - a western culture rooted in & formed by Christianity or that shown on Barking Spider's blog this morning?

'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a church.
What's Church? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Mosque would, were it not Mosque call'd,
Retain that dodgy reputation which it owes
Without that title. Mosque, doff thy name,
And for that shame which is every part of thee
Take all thyself and piss off back to whence thou came.

Some years ago now, we had a "cultural centre" in our house .. it was situated beneath the bed of my then teen-aged son ..

It consisted of unwashed socks, cardboard boxes with green-tinged pizza remains clinging to them & coffee cups with mould growing in the bottoms ..

A swift leather enema (or three) quickly resolved this "misunderstanding" of the standards of hygiene which I required ..

He is now "cured" .. ;) :) :)
